I hardly spend time in my home except during the weekends when I have my days free from work. I have not really had the time to fix things around the house, except for unpack my things when I first moved to the place. I am working on decorating the space little by little, as I oftentimes get way too tired on work weeks that there is nothing else I want to do on weekends but rest.

The other day I already started browsing for a few things I can add to my room to make it more like my own space. I was able to find these funky clocks on the internet that looked so cute and would make a perfect addition to the bedroom. I thought this would be a nice touch to have in my bedroom which can really reflect my personality.

I always browse on the internet for things I can purchase for my home. I make it a point to change up my décor every now and then to add flair and a change of look every now and then. It allows me to also play up my space whenever I am in the mood to decorate or should I be tired of seeing the same things every single day at home.

I was shocked to find one of those 8 day cuckoo clocks online which reminded me of the same timepiece which we used to have in my old home. I instantly bought the piece because I wanted to have a certain part of my home to reflect memories of my childhood in my parents’ house. The place may have burned down a few years back, but the memories will forever be in my mind.

Tea Party

My mom will be hosting a tea party to celebrate her 50th birthday this coming weekend. Everyone has been talking about it because my mom happens to be very good at planning these things. Last year she was able to pull off a cirque de soleil theme for my sister’s party. I am sure this is something we will definitely be at awe with again.

Since she has everything in life she can ever wish for, it came as a challenge for me when I was looking for a gift I can hand out to her. I knew that my presence in the party would be all that mattered to her, but of course I still want it to be extra special. I got her this Victorian style wall clock which would work perfectly in the living area. Since the house is in the same theme, I am sure she will appreciate the same to add to her fine décors at home.

Not all users of the desktop computer realize that there are useful gadgets that are there for the taking. There is the calculator, sticky notes, calendar, weather updates, currency converter and many more. All are useful but the most convenient to me are desktop clocks. Not only do they provide local time. They can also be configured to show the time in various locations.

These gadgets are like toys that you can play around with. You can choose from different styles of clocks, for example. You can also give it its very own name. Most important of all it provides accurate time, for as many locations as you want. It is just one more thing that makes communication with friends and relatives from all over the world quick and easy.

I must say that my biggest problem as to why I have not yet been promoted in the office because of my tardiness. This has always been a big problem of mine, something which my friends and family members would also complain about. I knew that this would be a big hindrance to me if I do not do anything about it. No matter how hard I work seeing my attendance records can affect the perception of my employers.

This is why I knew I need to implement some changes in the way I handle my time. I got some large wall clocks and placed these things around the apartment and adjusted the time half an hour earlier. I know this is going to be a lot of work and effort from my part, but I simply cannot be in the same position for years not because I am not productive but merely because of my tardiness.

Surprising Gift

When it comes to clocks, I must say that my mother is quite a collector of these things. Early on she has taught me the value and importance of time. She wants me to understand that time is gold and that I would need to value the same if I were to succeed in life. This is the reason why this lesson of hers had been laid in my head even up to this point.

I remember that my mother always wanted to have one of those river city cuckoo clocks, but since she was raising me all by herself she did not have enough funds to do so. This is why I got one delivered on her doorstep when I got my first paycheck. This is the least I can do for my mother who never gave up and managed to raise me well in order for me to achieve my dreams.

Game Room

My buddies and I decided to transform a part of our space into a game area. We have been working on the space for quite some time now, and since we would usually head out to the local bar in order to have a few beers and play pool we figured to simply buy these things so we need not be anywhere but home. This was a great idea since we need not mingle with people or strangers even who may be irritating or pesky once they get drunk.

We made sure that this part of the space would be cozy and appear just like the bar we would usually frequent. We got a Coca Cola clock from an online store to make the space looks laid back and relaxed, along with furniture pieces which we would normally find inside a bar. What we need now is a great jukebox so we can finally achieve the space we want to hang out in.

Valuing Time

These days, we would usually be in such a hurry in order to achieve the things we would want for ourselves and our loved ones. We would not have the leisure to stop and smell the roses, primarily because we have a lot of things on our minds. Everybody would want to be successful and get ahead of the rest. Nothing beats being able to do these things with little time.

Since time is very valuable, we would usually be in close monitor of the time we have left in accomplishing various tasks. Since we are very busy with our lives we would want to make sure we are able to achieve as much as we can. More often than not we would frequently be looking up wall clocks to make sure that we have a lot of time to spare. This way, we can maximize our time and gain more than what we expect.

I recently decided to do some redecorating in my home now that all the kids are out of the house. My youngest had just moved out for college and I no longer have to worry about anything or anyone except for me and my husband. Staying at home gave me the leisure time to do just about anything I would want. This way, I would be able to spruce up the entire space.

I started on redecorating the living room area as this is the place where I would often spend most of my time in. I got some handcrafted cuckoo clocks which looked absolutely perfect against the blank wall in the space. I have a knack for intricate and old world items, so this is the perfect fit for my style and preference. Hopefully I can have the new furniture delivered so I can finish my first project at home.

I am truly lucky to have wonderful friends with me. I am far away from my family because of a work assignment, and I don’t miss them as much because I have wonderful people time to spend with. During those instances when I am not able to come home for the holidays, I would usually plan out parties with my friends instead. This Christmas was one of them, and this was not an exception for having a Christmas dinner with them.

This year I was really happy with all the gifts I received. I got one of those cuckoo clocks I have always wanted for my place. This reminds me of my home as my mother has quite the penchant for these things. We collect a couple inside our home and they always seem to entertain us with their beautiful designs and unique sounds. In a way, having one in my apartment helps me to feel like I am just at home.
