My mom will be hosting a tea party to celebrate her 50th birthday this coming weekend. Everyone has been talking about it because my mom happens to be very good at planning these things. Last year she was able to pull off a cirque de soleil theme for my sister’s party. I am sure this is something we will definitely be at awe with again.

Since she has everything in life she can ever wish for, it came as a challenge for me when I was looking for a gift I can hand out to her. I knew that my presence in the party would be all that mattered to her, but of course I still want it to be extra special. I got her this Victorian style wall clock which would work perfectly in the living area. Since the house is in the same theme, I am sure she will appreciate the same to add to her fine décors at home.

On Time

I must say that my biggest problem as to why I have not yet been promoted in the office because of my tardiness. This has always been a big problem of mine, something which my friends and family members would also complain about. I knew that this would be a big hindrance to me if I do not do anything about it. No matter how hard I work seeing my attendance records can affect the perception of my employers.

This is why I knew I need to implement some changes in the way I handle my time. I got some large wall clocks and placed these things around the apartment and adjusted the time half an hour earlier. I know this is going to be a lot of work and effort from my part, but I simply cannot be in the same position for years not because I am not productive but merely because of my tardiness.

Keeping a Schedule

On a daily basis, I need to be on time for each task that I am scheduled to do, and the appointments which I need to keep. It can be such a hassle when I meet with someone who doesn’t keep track of time; this is why I make it a point to never be late for anything. Time is important for me since I have to juggle both household management as well as a career. This is not an easy thing to do.

I would usually be away in the morning and be back before lunch to do household chores. In my home, I keep a number of decorative wall clocks in different parts of the house so I can be made aware of the time. This way, I can speed up the tasks I am doing in order to move right on schedule with the next one. Keeping a schedule allows me to be organized and manage my time well. This is the secret of a mother who successfully juggles a career and family life.

College dorms would usually be filled with so much clutter and is in such disarray. Kids would not have the time or would be lazy to even try to keep their things organized. This is the usual thing for college kids. Aside from the school work, there is not really nothing else but hanging out and making the most of their college life.

An important item which a college dorm room must have though is a clock. This allows students to keep track of time and be able to monitor their schedules. Of course, conventional clocks can never fit in these rooms, more importantly these items must match the taste and preferences of the kids. The basement area we have at home was converted into a lounge and game room. We have always wanted another space the family can hang out in. Since our brood is growing and the children are growing up, we would need spaces within the home where each of my kids can hang out in whenever they have friends over. It also allows us to get a place where we can have fun and relax apart from the living room.

My wife and I decided to go retro with the space. We have a jukebox lying around in the garage, so we only needed a few other things in order to work up the interior decor of the space. We started off with furniture and fixtures, and moved on to a pool table. My wife had ordered some retro wall clocks to go with the theme of the space. It was perfect as the basement was one of the places where you can’t keep track of the time since it is enclosed. These functional pieces allow those hanging out in the space to be aware of the time.

I am a fan of non-traditional kind of design. Some even say that my style is eccentric and very out of the box. I don’t even have a theme when I design my room. I just make sure that everything compliments each other very well.
